Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, soul gospel, and jazz into the style that is his own. She has appeared on stages all over the world, from Broadway up to the Democratic National Convention to the European music scene and the club scenes. Sunshine is a name that she has given her has been given as Denise White. Although she lives in Atlanta she was born in Chester Pennsylvania. Her musical experience began at the church, where she sang and was a pianist. Following her graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she started her journey in music on the Atlanta's R&B culture. The Fighting Temptations The single which featured her vocals"Stalk You a House 12, was released only in Japan. It's been remixed numerous times and it is a mainstay of her live shows. She also lent her voice to the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. In 2005 she took on the role of the pianist in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award-winning singer) was approached for the position of director of the choral section of Dreamgirls in Atlanta during the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine gained national recognition through her performances on four consecutive days during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was later invited to sing at President Barack Obama's inaugural in 2009.
